Baby Shower- Straws!

I have been collecting cute jars and other random glass bits for months now, and finally I have put two of them to use!!

I made these cute little straws for the baby shower, and put them into my Jars!! (That will show Brendan they were NOT a waste of money- lol)

These were also very easy to make!

I just brought some cheap plastic blue straws, and some cute little jars from the local cheap shop!
I then stamped little baby heads and words that say ' happy new baby' which are both retired sets and using the Marina Mist Ink pad stamped one for every straw (so I made 30).
I then used my Creative Memories circle punch, to punch out the word and shapes!

Then using the same inking process as the tags for the baby shower game, I inked around all of the circles!
then using some Marina Mist card stock, and the Stampin Up Scallop circle extra large punch, I punched out 30 scallops. I then used my 2 way glue pen to attach one stamped white circle onto the blue scalloped circle! I punched a hole on the top and bottom and then thread the straws through!

I tied some blue ribbon around the jar, made a little tag using the sale-a -bration Punch Bunch stamp set and the Stampin Up Large punch, added some Kindy Glitz and wa la!!

Baby Shower- Tags

Ok, So it has dawned on me, that I only have one week till the baby shower and I need to actually start getting ready for it!

I have so many Ideas about what to make and how I want everything, it just going to come down to making it all, so that was my day today, time to start making the bits!! ( which nearly made me forget to attend a birthday party) whoops!

I started by making some props for one of the games, I am going to play the game where everyone gets a pin when they arrive and cannot say the words baby or boy, however I am going to add twins to that list too! When you hear someone say baby, boy or twins you take their pin, at the end of the shower, the person with the most wins!

these are what I made

These Tags were very easy to make! So here is how to do it step by step!
I have used the baby outfit from the new hostess set "A Slice of life" from the Stampin Up Autumn-Winter mini Catalogue I think its so cute!!
Using the Tempting Turquoise Ink pad, I stamped 25 of outfits onto whisper white card stock   (There are 25 guests attending, you would only need enough for one per person).

I then used the new Stampin Up Decorative Label Punch, also in the Autumn-Winter mini Catalogue to punch out all of the outfits to make 25 little label shapes.

Then I took a sponge (I buy the stampin up sponges and cut them into quarters, which makes them very cheap) gently dab the sponge directly onto the ink pad and
dab around the edges of the label shape.
note: the harder you push the darker the colour, you can always add more, but cannot remove it, so start light!!!
After inking around all the edges, I punched a small hole into the top of each tag, and attaches a safety pin onto each one!

To add some colour, besides blue, I used my most favorite colour Melon Mambo Stampin write marker, to colour in the little hearts on the outfit!
Nearly done....I then added a thin blue Ribbon through the hole in the
bottom of the safety pin,
and tied it into a single knot.

Last but not least!
The Kindy Glitz, my most FAV craft item of all time!!!
I just popped a bit of glitz onto the heart and there you go, little tags for the word game complete!

What do you think?????

Exiciting/ Busy day

What a day....

This morning we after normal school drop off, we are off to the other side of town to watch Taylah Running in the State Cross Country (clearly does NOT take after her mother), then we have an appointment at 1pm with the home loan dude, then 3pm at the Bank with the home loan woman, then at some stage I need to pack and get ready for a card workshop in Murrumbateman for 25, that I was told about yesterday, and actually drive out to Murrumbateman to do said workshop!!!

So anyway, FINGERS CROSSED, that Taylah does well and that by the end of the day, we have a beautiful piece of paper with a pre approval for a home loan! So that we can have another busy day tomorrow, buying a house!!!!!

Cup Cakes!!

OMG!!! I am totally in love with the new Stampin Up Cupcake punch and the matching Stamp set!

I sat down for a few minutes the other day to design a workshop and thought, I should have a play and see what I can make with the set, seeing I brought them WEEKS before hand and like so many craft items i HAD to own, they were still in there plastic!

So Off I went , and I had a ball!

I have Never had so many Ideas, and so little time, I simply couldn't make all the ideas I came up with!!
love CUP CAKES!!!!!

I Had a ball, and all the bits like the cherry, sprinkles and candles are all in the set, so everything you need is included!!

Again, If you would like any "recipies' for anything you see that you would like to make, please just send me an email!!

Thanks Sarah xx

Welcome!!

Well at long last I have started the blog I have told so many of my friend about, I have so many Ideas, and so little time I don't know where to start!

So to begin, an introduction on what sort of things I will be posting!!! I will be posting updates on the different "projects" I am currently undertaking, and the new ideas and workshops I will be running!

Currently I am planning a baby shower for twin boys, a "puppy party" for my youngest 5th birthday, trying to reorganise every room and cupboard in my house and whilst waiting to start my new job as a cake decorator in July, I am working as a cleaner, yep that's right, doing the one job that truly does my head in!!

I am first going to show you the before and afters- well middles of my craft room, Its not quite finished yet, but i don't think that room ever will be! However from the before and afters you will notice a MASSIVE difference! I know I have!

Before
(and I must say I was pretty happy with having my own space)
until..........

After ( aka middles)
Still a work in progress but what a difference! Now I'm in my element, lol!!
